Your privacymatters

Last updated:

We built this site to collect as little as possible. Here's exactly what happens to your information.

What we collect

If you use the contact form: your first and last name, your email address, and your message.

If you sign up to volunteer: your first and last name, email address, phone number, state, city, age, what you'd like to help with, how familiar you are with politics and government, how much time you can give, and why you want to join.

That's it. We don't use cookies, analytics, ad trackers, or tracking pixels, and this site doesn't create accounts.

How we use it

We use what you send only to reply to you, and if you volunteer, to match you with ways to help and contact you about next steps. We never sell your information, and we never share it with campaigns, parties, or anyone else for marketing.

Where it goes

This site doesn't store your submission. When you press send, it goes straight to our team's inbox at masen@thecivicproject.net and lives there.

Two services help make that work:

The site is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web host, processes basic technical information (such as your IP address) to serve pages and keep the site secure.

Donations

The Donate button takes you to Venmo. We don't see or store your payment details. Venmo's privacy policy applies there, and we see only what Venmo shows us about your gift.

Age requirements

You must be 13 or older to use our forms. If you're under 18, please talk with a parent or guardian before you sign up. If we learn that someone under 13 has sent us information, we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete anything you've sent. Email masen@thecivicproject.net and we'll take care of it. We delete volunteer information when someone asks, or when it's no longer needed.

Questions

Email masen@thecivicproject.net. If we change this note, we'll update the date at the top.
